Mechanical Properties Of Powder Coatings After Curing
1. Insufficient curing
A) raise the baking temperature to make it reach the temperature required by the process
B) extend the workpiece baking time to make it reach the time required by the process
2. Excessive baking and curing, making the cross-linked structure of the coating film brittle
Properly reduce the baking temperature and shorten the baking time
3. Workpiece surface treatment is not good (such as workpiece degreasing is not clean, phosphate film formation quality, phosphate after washing is not clean, etc.)
Check and adjust pretreatment equipment and pretreatment fluid
4. Too thick coating
Adjust the spraying equipment to reduce the coating thickness; the film thickness is generally controlled at 60-120μm
5. Change in substrate thickness or material type
Contact with base material suppliers
6. Quality problems of the powder itself or quality deterioration in storage
Replace powder coating or use after conversion
